Jammet.online Terms of Use

Last Updated: January 4, 2026

Welcome to Jammet.online. By accessing or using our website, mobile application, or any other services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

1. Description of Service

Jammet.online is a collaborative music platform designed to help artists, bands, and producers work together. We provide tools for uploading audio, managing different versions of tracks ("Versioning"), soliciting and providing feedback ("Feedback"), and comparing track variations ("A/B Testing").

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Jammet.online immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. User Content and Ownership

3.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all original audio, text, photos, and other data you upload to the Platform ("User Content"). We do not claim ownership of your music.

3.2 License to Jammet.online

By uploading User Content, you grant Jammet.online a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for technical purposes like transcoding), perform, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Platform.

Specific to Jammet.online: This includes the right to process your audio files to generate A/B testing data, visual waveforms, and version histories required for the collaboration features.

3.3 License to Other Users

Because Jammet.online is a collaborative environment, by inviting other users (e.g., band members, producers) to a project, you grant them permission to access, stream, comment on, and (if applicable based on your permissions settings) download or modify your User Content within the Platform.

4. Copyright and Acceptable Use

4.1 No Unauthorized Uploads

You strictly promise that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to publish the User Content you upload. You may not upload content that infringes on any third party's copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights.

Example: Do not upload samples you haven't cleared, or cover songs for which you do not have a license, unless your use qualifies as fair use or is otherwise legally permitted.

4.2 Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload any content that:

  • Is illegal, sexually explicit, or promotes violence or hatred.
  • Contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
  • Is intended to harass, bully, or intimidate other artists or users.

4.3 Repeat Infringers

Jammet.online will terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

5. Collaboration and Conduct

Jammet.online is built on trust and constructive feedback.

  • Feedback: Users agree to provide feedback in a civil and constructive manner. Harassment under the guise of "critique" is not tolerated.
  • Confidentiality: If you are invited to a private project, you agree not to share, leak, or distribute the unreleased music ("Demos") outside of the Platform without the content owner's explicit permission.

6. Copyright Complaints (DMCA/Notice and Takedown)

If you believe your copyright has been infringed on Jammet.online, please notify our designated Copyright Agent at: legal@jammet.online.

Your notice must include: (a) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (c) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing; (d) your contact information.

7. Disclaimers

7.1 "As Is" Basis

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7.2 Data Loss

While we strive to keep your data safe, Jammet.online is not liable for any loss of your User Content (e.g., track versions, comments, A/B test results). Please keep local backups of all your project files.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jammet.online shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

9. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform or sending you an email. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the renewed Terms constitutes your acceptance of them.

Key Changes from Standard "Streaming" TOS

  • Collaboration Context: Added Section 3.3 and Section 5 to specifically address the relationship between band members (confidentiality of unreleased demos).
  • Versioning & Testing: Explicitly mentioned "A/B Testing" and "Versioning" in the license grant (Section 3.2) so users understand their files will be processed to create these specific data points.
  • Data Loss Warning: Added a specific disclaimer (Section 7.2) about backups, which is crucial for a production platform where losing a "Version 3" of a song is more critical than a listener losing a playlist.
