Jammet.online Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 4, 2026

1. Introduction

At Jammet.online ("we," "us," or "our"), we respect the privacy of the artists, producers, and musicians who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our services to collaborate, upload music, and utilize our feedback and A/B testing tools (collectively, the "Platform").

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address, username, and password.
  • Profile Information: You may choose to provide a profile photo, biography, instrument details, or band affiliation.
  • User Content (The Music & Feedback): This is the core of our service. We collect and store:
    • Audio Files: The tracks, stems, and demos you upload.
    • Versions: The history of different file versions you upload for a specific project.
    • Collaboration Data: The comments, timestamps, and feedback you leave on tracks (e.g., "The bass is too loud at 1:30").
    • A/B Testing Data: Information you organize regarding different mix versions for comparison purposes.

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage Data: We track how you interact with the Platform, such as which versions you play most, how long you listen to a specific A/B test, and which features you use.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system.
  • Cookies: We use cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences (e.g., volume settings or preferred mixer view).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information specifically to power the collaborative nature of Jammet.online:

  • To Provide the Service: To host your audio, enable streaming for invited band members, and sync comments to specific timestamps on the waveform.
  • To Enable Collaboration: To notify you when a band member uploads a new version or leaves feedback.
  • To Generate Analytics: To provide you with the results of your A/B testing (e.g., showing you which version received more positive feedback from your invited listeners).
  • Platform Improvement: To understand how artists use our tools so we can build better features.
  • Communication: To send you service-related notices (e.g., "Your project has been updated") or security alerts.

4. How We Share Your Information

4.1 With Your Collaborators (Important)

Jammet.online is a social workspace. Information you upload to a Project is visible to other members of that Project.

  • If you invite a drummer to your project, they will be able to stream your tracks, see your previous versions, and read the feedback comments associated with that project.
  • Please be aware of who you invite to your digital workspace.

4.2 Service Providers

We share data with third-party vendors who help us operate, such as:

  • Cloud Hosting Providers: To store your large audio files securely.
  • Email Services: To send you notifications about project activity.
  • Analytics Providers: To help us understand website traffic.

4.3 Legal Compliance

We may disclose your information if required by law, such as in response to a court order or valid subpoena, or to protect the safety and rights of Jammet.online users (e.g., enforcing our Terms of Service regarding unauthorized covers or samples).

5. Your Choices and Control

  • Access and Update: You can access and edit your profile and project settings at any time through your account dashboard.
  • Project Privacy: You control the privacy settings of your projects. You determine who has access to stream or download your music versions.
  • Deleting Your Account: You may request the deletion of your account by contacting support@jammet.online. Please note that if you delete your account, comments you left on other people's projects may remain visible to preserve the context of the collaboration, though they will be anonymized where possible.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your audio files and personal data. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and keep your project invite links private.

7. Children

Jammet.online is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or higher age limit depending on your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Platform or via email.

9. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at: support@jammet.online

Adaptation Notes for Jammet.online

  • Section 2.1 (User Content): We specifically added "Versions" and "A/B Testing Data" as collected content. This differentiates us from a simple file host; we acknowledge we store the relationships between files.
  • Section 4.1 (Collaborators): This is the most distinct difference from a standard streaming site. On SoundCloud, "public" is the default assumption for many. On Jammet, the default is likely "Private/Band Only." This section clarifies that sharing is a core feature, not an accident.
  • Section 5 (Deleting Account): We added a specific note about "comments on other projects." In collaboration tools, if a user leaves and all their feedback disappears, it can ruin the history of the project for the remaining band members. Usually, the policy is to anonymize the comments rather than delete them.
